I did this portrait on a morning when Jan, exhausted from the demands of a full schedule at the International Women's Writing Guild summer conference, suggested that perhaps this might not be the morning to do an Energy Portrait. "Nonsense," I assured her.
I wonder what her portrait have looked like if she had fellt invigorated that morning.
This was the first Energy Portrait I did that filled almost the whole page with the extensions of the crown chakra.
"Having my portrait done by Leiah Bowden was a calming and profound experience in itself. She is a master at paying attention, moving into the inner realms, and recording all the fire and light that our limited vision keeps us from. Bobbie is a true visionary, in every sense of the word.
On the last night of the conference, when all her portraits were hung in the front of the auditorium, a psychic soul sister came up to me and said, "I know which one is you," and she pointed right at my portrait. It was such a profound moment, to realize that those who see the light, see the same light, the same shapes. It so confirmed the gifts of both of them."
